Bill is a Laity Council member from Oakland UMC in Johnstown where he and his wife Velva joined in 1981. They have two adult sons and six grandsons. Bill currently serves as Oakland’s Lay Member to Annual Conference. On the Conference level, Bill is a member of the Board of Trustees and also serves as the Vice Chair of the Conference Sessions Team. In 2019 he was elected as an alternate to General Conference and a delegate to Jurisdictional Conference. Bill and Velva have had the opportunity to attend all three of the WCA Global Legislative Assemblies and three Global Gatherings.
